You need to give the landlord (via our office) written notice of your intention to vacate the premises. You may do this by completing the relevant PDF form below and delivering, posting or faxing it to the relevant office that your rental is through, i.e. our Newcastle office at The Junction or Port Stephens office at Nelson Bay.
PLEASE NOTE: depending on your situation, different notice provisions apply:
Lease not yet expired and you want to vacate on or shortly after the expiry date?
You must give at least 14 days notice of your intention to vacate.
Lease already expired?
You must give at least 21 days notice of your intention to vacate.
Want to vacate before your lease expires?
You should give as much notice as possible. Also note that you will usually have to pay some costs.
